Get peace
of mind from Role Audio with our new five-year transducer replacement
policy.
New transferable five-year transducer
(driver) replacement policy
(effective 9/15/06)
With our new five-year transducer
replacement policy you don't have to listen to your music system
on pins and needles worrying that something might break. In addition
to our standard 10 year product warranty we now have a five-year
driver replacement policy. The policy is transferable and covers
one time replacement of all transducers in your Role Audio loudspeakers
up to five (5) years after purchase of your Role Audio Loudspeaker
system.
The Basic Idea
Say something weird
happens, like your amplifier goes haywire and fries all the transducers
in your Role Audio loudspeakers, or your toddler fiddles with
your system and turns the volume on your 500 watt per channel
amplifier to the maximum and fries all the drivers. Don't panic,
we will replace all the transducers free. No handling charge.
No hidden costs. All you will pay for is the actual cost of shipping
the speakers to and from us.
Our five-year transducer replacement policy covers onetime replacement
of all the transducers in your loudspeaker system, or replacement
of each transducer up to the full complement of transducers in
the system. For example, if you own a pair of Windjammers,
our five-year no fault transducer replacement policy will cover
replacement of two woofers and two tweeters. (Of course,
if something happens that is our fault, our 10 year warranty
policy applies. See the bottom of this page.) Our new five-year
transducer replacement policy covers the drivers in all Role
Audio loudspeakers sold after July 1, 2007.
Prorated transducer replacement
policy
If you bought Role
Audio loudspeakers in the last two years before July 1, 2008,
relax, we will not leave you high and dry. We are offering you
a prorated transducer replacement policy for a nominal fee of
$75. Say you bought your loudspeakers two years before September
1, the $75 fee will cover the remaining three years of the five
years transducer replacement period. And if you sell your loudspeakers,
the balance of the coverage period is transferable to the new
owner, which should increase the value of your loudspeakers.
You can fill out our PDF Registration Card and return it by mail
with your check for $75 or you may fax the completed Registration
card or send it as an email attachment.

Questions you might ask
Are we planning to raise our
prices to offset the costs of our new no fault original transducer replacement policy?
No. We have not raised our prices in anticipation of implementing
the new policy and we do not plan to increase prices to cover
the costs of the new policy. We reserve the right of course to
implement price increases as we see fit.
Are there hidden charges such
as handling charges?
Absolutely not. There
are no hidden charges. There may be charges involved for packaging
if the loudspeakers are shipped to us in inadequate packaging
that we deem unfit for shipping the speakers safely to you. In
that case we will notify you prior to making any decisions and
will charge you a nominal charge for new packaging.
Does the new policy apply to all Role Audio loudspeakers?
Yes, even the Skiffs
Are there special requirements you must follow to ship the
loudspeakers back to us?
Yes. First, you must be enrolled in the program. Second, you
must call or email us to get authorization to ship the speakers
to us, and, third, you must ship to us via United Parcel Service
or get permission and instructions to ship via another carrier.
Moreover, you must insure your loudspeakers for the full retail
value, which is protection for you against damage that can occur
in transit.
What if you ship the speakers
to us and there is no damage?
Then you are responsible
for paying all shipment cost just as if the speakers were damaged
and it is not our fault.
If we replace all the transducers
in your loudspeakers, are the replacement transducers covered
by our five-year no fault transducer replacement policy?
No. Our five-year replacement policy only covers replacement
of the total number of transducers. Thereafter, the terms of
our standard ten year warranty apply.
What if when you need repair the transducers are discontinued?
We maintain a stock of replacement drivers so most likely
replacing your loudspeaker transducers will not be an issue.
However, in the event replacement transducers are not available,
we will replace all the transducers with equivalent ones or in
the worst case scenario offer to replace your loudspeakers with
new loudspeakers of equivalent performance and value.
How can we offer this policy?
We can offer this policy because we have one of the most rigorous
quality control programs in the industry and because the transducers
we use are extremely well made and durable. Our quality control
tests do not only rely on electronic measurements. We listen
to every loudspeaker before it leaves our factory, because problems
that may not show up on electronic tests show up in listening
tests.
How do you become enrolled
in our new five-year no fault transducer replacement program?
Because the program
is a separate program from our product warranty program, you
must register for the program by completely filling out our loudspeaker
registration (warranty) card and send it to us with proof of
purchase such as a sales slip. We will send you a confirmation
certificate.
Please Note:
Whether or not you enroll in the new five-year no fault transducers
replacement program, your Role Audio loudspeakers are covered
by our standard 10 year warranty.
We reserve the right to terminate
the new five-year no fault original transducer replacement program
at any time. If we terminate the program we will honor the terms
of the program for people who are already enrolled.
